Overview

The Urban Sky Payload Integrators Guide provides technical and procedural guidance for entities seeking to fly payloads on Urban Sky microballoon platforms. The purpose of this document is to ensure that all payloads are integrated in a manner that upholds flight safety, mission integrity, and regulatory compliance. The evaluation criteria focus on three primary concerns: (1) structural integrity and retention of all payload components throughout all phases of flight; (2) assurance that payload systems do not interfere with core balloon functions, including RF communications, altitude control, and structural performance; and (3) conformity with applicable laws and regulations governing stratospheric flight. This guide does not assess payload performance or the payload aspects of mission success.
